I just discovered that the Power Tour is starting near Baton Rouge this year! Unfortunately, I already have plans for this weekend. Bummer.

I’m joining it in Wichita and planning to drive to KC for the last day as well.

I found out about it because a friend of mine’s dad is joining it in Baton Rouge. He plans to bail out after Austin. I may try to catch it in Oklahoma City since I’ll be in the area next week.

I had planned on hitting OKC but I start a new position at work next week so taking 3 days off isn’t realistic.

How long do they hang out in one place? With a new venue every day and at least 3 or 4 hours of driving between each, they can’t stay long. Do the vendors stay longer? I’ve never been to a power tour, so I have no idea how these work.

I’ve never been either, but as far as I understand it they’re there from about 12 to 6 or 7. The organizers pack up after that and head to the next city, participants go to the next city the next morning, with route sent to participants in advance (we already have the route)

Gotcha. That might work for us. I may have to update my plans.
